Students from Khon Kaen University's Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies Selected to Present National-Level Research at 18th Humanities and Social Sciences Conference

Students from the Bachelor of Economics programme at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, have brought pride to their institution by being selected to present two research papers at the 18th Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences on Friday, 6th June 2025, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Burapha University, Chonburi Province.

          The conference was held under the theme "Humanities and Social Sciences towards Spatial Innovation" and organised by the Association for Community, Local and Social Development in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Burapha University. The research presentations were delivered in poster format.

 The selected research papers comprised:

          Paper 1: "Budget Allocation for Ministry of Public Health Expenditure Affecting the Quality of Life of Thai Citizens in Health Aspects" by Miss Supussorn Paengpui, a student awaiting graduation, supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Sakkarin Nonthapot. Miss Supussorn presented her work at the national forum.

          Paper 2: "Analysis of Service Quality Factors Affecting User Satisfaction in the Advance Ticket Booking System at Nong Khai Railway Station" by Miss Aripin Duankhao, supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Sakkarin Nonthapot, with Mr. Korawit Chaokamud, a postgraduate student, assigned to handle the article and deliver the presentation.

          Miss Supussorn Paengpui expressed her delight at this achievement, stating: "I am pleased that my work has been selected for publication in the conference proceedings and meets the standards recognised nationally by the Office of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT). Moreover, I had the opportunity to meet doctoral-level researchers who serve as exemplars for developing my own research work, and I have a pathway to extend this into a master's thesis in International Economics and Tourism."

          This success reflects the educational quality and research potential of the Bachelor of Economics programme at Khon Kaen University, demonstrating its capability to produce high-quality research work that gains national recognition.
