Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, KKU, Joins "Khon Kaen University Societal Contributions Fair," Offering 4 Services to the Community

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanlapa Wongsillatham, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, led a team of staff and students to participate in the "Khon Kaen University Societal Contributions Fair" on September 5, 2025, at the ground floor of Khon Kaen Railway Station. This event was organized under the "Societal Contributions" academic services project.

This year marks the first time the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies has participated, bringing a diverse range of knowledge and services to people in 95 communities and surrounding areas. Assoc. Prof. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., the President of Khon Kaen University, presided over the opening ceremony.

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies provided four key services:

  1. Isan Community Legal Clinic: Offering legal advice and services to the public.
  2. Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies Central Laboratory: Showcasing scientific and technological services.
  3. Research and Innovation for Sustainable Community: Exhibiting research and innovative products with practical applications for the community.
  4. Sales of Agricultural and Community Products: Selling products developed from the faculty's research to promote careers and generate income for the community.

The main objective of the "Khon Kaen University Societal Contributions Fair" is to bring the university's knowledge to the community in a comprehensive manner, covering health, education, career promotion, and pet services, with the goal of sustainably improving the quality of life for local residents.
