The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, KKU, Hosts "SOS" Training Program: Strengthening Mental Resilience and Cyber Safety Awareness for Students.

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, organized a mental health crisis management training program titled "SOS (Save Our Souls): How to Cope When the Heart is Trapped in a Storm with No Way Out," held at Meeting Room NK 2217, Learning and Laboratory Building 1, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. The program aimed to build knowledge and understanding of mental health issues, develop skills for self-care and caring for others, and raise awareness about technological threats in the digital age. Lecturer Jakrawan Kleebbua, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, presided over the event, welcoming the speakers and encouraging the students, along with faculty members and staff who helped create a warm atmosphere. The event attracted a total of 72 students who participated in both the morning and afternoon sessions.

The morning session featured a lecture and workshop on mental health crisis management, generously provided by a team of expert speakers from Mental Health Center 8, Udon Thani, led by Mr. Weerapong Riebporn, Deputy Director of Mental Health Center 8, Udon Thani. The speakers shared techniques for managing one's own emotions and supporting others during periods of exhaustion, offering participants practical guidance that can be applied in daily life to cope with and overcome mental health crises appropriately.

In the afternoon, the session focused on building resilience against cyber threats and raising awareness of technology-related crimes. This session was honored by the participation of Police Colonel Surakit Khuankhruea, Deputy Commander of the Nong Khai Provincial Police, along with a team of speakers from the Mueang Nong Khai Police Station, who provided knowledge to help prevent all forms of online scams and fraud, while also introducing the hotline 1441 as a channel for prompt assistance.

The program concluded with an introduction to the ISKKU Mind Care system and the mental health support services available within the faculty, presented by Ms. Minarin Fabuaworn, Computer Technical Officer, and Ms. Jiratorn Buengli, Psychologist. This ensured that all students would have a reliable source of emotional support and could conveniently and quickly access assistance services when needed.

The program was considered highly successful, as students gained knowledge, mental health self-care skills, and awareness of technological threats — reflecting the strong commitment of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, to comprehensively caring for students' mental well-being and safety.
