Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University Welcomes Professor from Quest International University to Exchange Best Practices in Graduate Research Supervision

On 3 July 2026, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, welcomed Professor Vijay Kumar Mallan, Dean of Postgraduate Studies at Quest International University, Malaysia, accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Supattra Sroypetch and Dr. Rodney William Caldicott, during a courtesy visit to Assistant Professor Dr. Suntaree Buchitchon, Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University.

The visit featured productive discussions on enhancing graduate research supervision and strengthening international academic collaboration. The Dean extended a formal welcome to the distinguished guests and engaged in productive discussions on strategies for enhancing graduate research supervision. The meeting also covered the implementation of the Enhancing Research Degree Supervision project, conducted under the KKU Inbound Visiting Scholar Program for the Fiscal Year 2026.

The discussions focused on exchanging international experiences and best practices in graduate supervision, as well as exploring approaches to strengthening the capabilities of academic supervisors and postgraduate students. Particular emphasis was placed on improving research quality and aligning graduate education with international standards.

This visit reflects the strong academic relationship between the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, and international scholars. It also reinforces the Faculty's commitment to fostering international collaboration and advancing the quality of postgraduate education and research through sustained global partnerships.
