International Economics Students, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University Intensive Portfolio Workshop for University Admission

August 3, 2026 : Undergraduate students from the International Economics, Innovation, and Sustainability program, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at Khon Kaen University organized a special outreach initiative titled "Economics Knowledge and Portfolio Preparation for University Admission." Held at Tha Bo School in Tha Bo District, Nong Khai Province, the event aimed to inspire and equip high school students for their future academic journeys.

The initiative was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Teerawut Teetranont,a lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences, who guided a team of university student mentors in delivering knowledge on-site. The primary objective was to develop essential skills and lay a solid foundation in modern economics. By making the subject matter easy to understand and highly practical, the project aimed to equip the youth with crucial skills for adapting to the era of innovation and sustainability.

In addition to academic enrichment, the event featured a highly engaging "Portfolio Preparation" workshop. The KKU seniors shared insightful techniques and insider tips on how to craft standout portfolios that capture the admission committee's attention and best reflect the applicant's unique identity. The workshop served as a guiding compass, helping the high schoolers build confidence as they prepare to enter the higher education admission process.

The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with warmth, joy, and strong enthusiasm from the large number of participating Tha Bo School students. This project not only reflects the deep commitment of the students and faculty members of KKU’s Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies to providing academic services to the community, but it also tangibly creates a space for sharing, passing on dreams, and broadening the economic horizons of the new generation in Nong Khai Province.
