ISKKU Executives Meet with Nong Khai Immigration Office to Discuss Foreign Personnel Management, Prepare for "Beyond Borders @ISKKU" Event.

, Khon Kaen University (ISKKU), led by Ajarn Chatiporn Muangkhot Mungkhunsaen and Ajarn Jakkrawan Kleebbua, Vice Deans of the Faculty, together with staff members, visited the Nong Khai Provincial Immigration Office to hold discussions and seek consultation. The delegation was welcomed by Police Lieutenant Colonel Thanusilp Duangkaewngam, Deputy Superintendent of the Nong Khai Provincial Immigration Office, who was assigned by the Superintendent to represent the office in receiving the delegation and participating in the discussion.

This visit stems from the College of Interdisciplinary Studies' ongoing efforts in higher education management and research development involving foreign personnel, as part of its commitment to enhancing international standards. The meeting focused on two main issues. The first concerned establishing guidelines for the employment of foreign lecturers and researchers, to ensure that the recruitment process, work permit and visa applications and renewals, as well as compliance with relevant laws, are conducted correctly, systematically, and in strict accordance with Immigration Bureau regulations.

In addition, the meeting also discussed preparations for the upcoming "Beyond Borders @ISKKU: Run-Walk Across the Thai-Laos Friendship Bridge" event, a health-promoting and community engagement activity aimed at strengthening good relations in the border area. The event also aligns with the development of student well-being in accordance with the Khon Kaen University Students' Identity framework (EGGS: KKU Students' Identity), fostering readiness in physical health, mental well-being, and civic responsibility among students. The Nong Khai Provincial Immigration Office expressed its readiness to provide legal guidance and facilitation support to ensure that the College's operations and event planning proceed smoothly and successfully achieve their objectives.
