Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, KKU Organizes Tennis Umpire Training to Upskill Sports Science Professionals

The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU), continues to elevate theoretical and practical skills based on international standards by hosting the "Professional Potential Development Project in Sports Science and Exercise" under the topic "Basic Tennis Umpire Workshop." The event was held from August 6–7, 2026, at Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai Campus.

The opening ceremony was honored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattapol Triperm, who presided over the official launch. Dr. Sirisuda Poltee, the course instructor, oversaw and managed the project. Additionally, Ajarn Kampanat Khunluek and Ajarn Arnon Piyarattan, expert instructors from Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, Nong Khai Campus, served as guest speakers, transferring knowledge and leading practical training sessions.

This training aimed to promote knowledge and understanding of rules, regulations, hand signals, and basic tennis officiating techniques in accordance with international standards. Participants engaged in hands-on practice on a simulated court to enhance their competencies, build confidence, and prepare for becoming professional umpires in the future—marking a significant step toward the sustainable development of sports science and exercise personnel.
