Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences Organizes Training Project to Prepare Basketball Referees for International Competition, Elevating Personnel Standards for Professional Sports

On August 14, 2026, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences hosted a training project titled "Preparing Basketball Referees for International Competition." The project aimed to develop skills, enhance knowledge and understanding of international rules and regulations, and raise the potential of participants to effectively perform their duties as basketball referees according to international standards.

The opening ceremony was honored by Ajarn Chakkrawan Kleebbua, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, who presided over the event and delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the vital importance of referee development as a core driving force in advancing the sports industry sustainably.

Furthermore, the training featured expert and highly experienced guest speakers from the basketball community who shared their knowledge. These included:

· Mr. Theerawut Puttako, Senior Professional Level Teacher from Kham Kaen Nakhon School, Khon Kaen Province

· Mr. Thanaboon Chantarawilai, Senior Professional Level Teacher from Pathumthep Witthayakarn School, Nong Khai Province

and Ms. Pitchayada Kerd-iam

Both speakers delivered both theoretical and practical instruction covering updated international competition rules, game management techniques, and real-time court officiating. The session aimed to instill confidence and impartiality in all participants, ultimately contributing to the development of high-quality sports personnel for the basketball industry.
