Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, KKU Hosts "New Generation Graduates STEM-BCG Innovation Fair" Towards Sustainable Industrial Development
The Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University organized the "New Generation Graduates STEM-BCG Innovation Fair Towards Sustainable Industrial Development," opening a platform to showcase the potential of over 300 teachers and youth from 4 provinces, presenting innovative works, science projects, and local product prototypes under the BCG concept, while connecting STEM knowledge and artificial intelligence towards sustainable development.
On August 13, 2026, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University organized the "New Generation Graduates STEM-BCG Innovation Fair Towards Sustainable Industrial Development" under the New Generation Graduates Project of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University for the year 2026, held at Meeting Room NK2217, 2nd Floor, Learning and Practice Building.
The event was honored by Professor Dr. Kanok Wongtrangan, Advisor to the Minister of Industry, who presided over the opening ceremony and delivered a special keynote speech on the topic "Transforming Thai Products with STEM-BCG: From Laboratory to Sustainable Industrial Market." Associate Professor Dr. Pattariya Lasunon, Head of the New Generation Graduates Project, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, presented a report on the project's objectives and outcomes.
The event aimed to create a space for knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer, and presentation of works by participants in the New Generation Graduates Project, which focuses on developing high-competency personnel. A total of 40 participants underwent training in a curriculum on "Developing Teacher Competency through Artificial Intelligence for Designing Sustainable STEM-BCG Projects" over a period of approximately 4 months, before applying and transferring this knowledge to students in their respective areas.
The event welcomed over 300 attendees, including executives, teachers, students, and stakeholders from the network of Product Quality Analysis Centers under the curriculum in 4 provinces: Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Loei, and Kalasin. The event featured a diverse range of exhibitions, including oral presentations, poster presentations, and displays of over 50 local product prototypes developed under the BCG Economy (Bio-Circular-Green Economy) framework.

Assistant Professor Dr. Suntaree Buchitchon, Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, was honored to join the panel of judges, along with distinguished expert committee members, to provide feedback and select outstanding works.

Throughout the event, participants received valuable comments and suggestions from the panel of judges and expert committee members to further develop and enhance their work, as well as to elevate learning management that integrates knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, and the BCG concept—enabling tangible solutions to local problems and value creation for local products.
The "New Generation Graduates STEM-BCG Innovation Fair Towards Sustainable Industrial Development" stands as another significant platform for promoting the potential of educational personnel and youth, while also building networks of collaboration between universities, schools, and communities. This initiative aims to jointly develop innovations rooted in local resources and wisdom, driving knowledge towards practical application and continued sustainable industrial development.
