Law Department, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, KKU Leads Students in the 2026 Raphee Day Legal Quiz Competition (Region 4 Qualifier)

On August 20, 2026, the Law Department, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Khon Kaen University—led by Asst. Prof. Umaporn Kalasaen and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phoem Luangkaew, full-time faculty members of the Law Department—brought student representatives to participate in the regional legal quiz competition (Region 4) held on the occasion of Raphee Day 2026 at Charoen Thani Hotel, Khon Kaen, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang Khon Kaen District, Khon Kaen Province.

The Raphee Day Legal Quiz Competition is organized annually to commemorate the gracious benevolence of HRH Prince Raphi Phatthanasak, Prince of Ratchaburi Direkrit, the "Father of Thai Law." The event aims to enhance legal knowledge and understanding, providing law students from various educational institutions across Region 4 an opportunity to develop academic skills, exchange experiences, and practice solving practical legal issues according to professional standards.

Asst. Prof. Umaporn Kalasaen and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phoem Luangkaew stated that bringing students to this competition serves not only to boost their academic potential and systematic analytical thinking, but also to prepare them for entering the legal profession in the future. The student team underwent rigorous selection and training covering both substantive law and procedural law, with the goal of delivering their best performance as representatives of Khon Kaen University.

The atmosphere at the event was vibrant, with student representatives from numerous institutions across the region gathering to compete for top honors, seeking to secure regional winning spots and advance to the national final round.
