Igniting IT Potential! Khon Kaen University's Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies organizes "COM CAMP" Upskill in AI and Canva, paving the way for the future.
On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, the Computer and Information Science Program, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies at Khon Kaen University, organized an academic outreach activity titled "Computer Camp for Youth" (COM CAMP) at Tessaban 1 Sawangwittaya School in Nong Khai Province, aiming to enhance the digital technology skills of local youth.
The event was honored by the School Director, Dr. Patcharin Chaichan, who assigned the Deputy Director, Mrs. Wanlada Bunkhammun, to preside over the opening ceremony. She was joined by another Deputy Director, Mrs. Pensri Kalayanakitti, and the teaching staff. The camp garnered significant interest, with over 120 upper secondary school students in attendance.
During the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanda Sorn-in, the Project Leader, and Mr. Thanaphat Wongkhamchan, a program lecturer, along with a team of senior students, served as instructors to impart their knowledge. The training emphasized an "Active Learning" approach, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience through two main activity stations:
- AI Station: Learning how to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance learning efficiency and create professional videos.
- Canva Station: Practicing portfolio design skills to create attractive profiles that impress selection committees, as well as website creation to develop modern digital media production skills.
