The Applied Science Division, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, moves forward in driving the development of the educational environment by organizing the "Big Cleaning Day" activity at the Fisheries Practice Building on July 11, 2026. Associate Professor Dr. Ratchaneekorn Mapanao, the project coordinator, led the mobilization of faculty members, staff, and students from the Aquaculture Production Technology Program to join forces in cleaning the learning and practice areas, with an emphasis on cultivating public consciousness, nurturing unity, and improving the campus landscape to create a clean, safe atmosphere conducive to happy learning.

The atmosphere of this activity was filled with warmth and the power of collaborative effort, truly reflecting the unity and selflessness for the collective good. Faculty members, staff, and students joined hands in sweeping, wiping, and organizing every area. This event not only helped narrow the gap between teachers and students but also served as a bridge connecting strong bonds of relationships, developing teamwork skills, and unifying everyone as one under an organizational culture where members share love, connection, and pride in jointly caring for and maintaining the university's premises.

For this operation, the focus was placed on the Fisheries Practice Building, which comprises classrooms, laboratories, and an aquaculture training farm, transforming it into a "Green & Clean Campus" in a concrete manner. This involved cleaning tools and equipment, organizing laboratories to ensure safety and sterility ready to support scientific experiments, as well as improving the landscape around the aquaculture farm to create a shaded and visually pleasing environment. These changes have transformed the educational institution into more than just an academic building, but a space of inspiration comparable to a "second home" — one that is pleasant and inviting to learn in, encouraging students to feel enthusiastic and happy to come and pursue knowledge every day.

The success of this activity, therefore, was not limited merely to the cleanliness and orderliness of the venue. The greater achievement lay in the smiles and the spirit of unity among students across all year levels. This activity reflected a deep sense of connection and belonging to the institution, and it will serve as an important foundation in shaping the students of Aquaculture Production Technology, Khon Kaen University, to step confidently and gracefully into their profession—carrying forward the reputation and values of the program to remain sustainably valued within the aquaculture industry for years to come.
