Khon Kaen University (KKU) has fully launched its digital strategy drive through the "Seminar and Workshop for Capacity Development and Network Strengthening of the Khon Kaen University Digital Operations Network Committee 2026." Held from May 28 to 30, 2026, at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies, Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai Campus, the event aims to brainstorm ideas and equip the university’s digital personnel with cutting-edge technological skills.

The official opening ceremony took place on May 28, co-chaired by Asst. Prof. Phet Imthongkham, Deputy Director for Information Infrastructure, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nattayanee Janthapalaboon, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. Both emphasized the crucial importance of building digital collaborative networks and maintaining robust information security within the university. Following the opening remarks, Mr. Chanon Jantrasri provided an overview of the role and potential of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies as the co-host of this event.

The highlights of the program feature intensive workshops and academic panel discussions spanning all three days, focusing on two core dimensions:

1. Cybersecurity

• "Basic Security" Workshop: Conducted by Computer Technical Officers Mr. Wanat Padee and Mr. Pongsakorn Hatthapanom.
• "Security Scorecard: Threat Alerts and Incident Response" Lecture: Delivered by Asst. Prof. Phet Imthongkham, Ms. Suranut Sapso (Senior Computer Technical Officer), and Mr. Pongsakorn Hatthapanom to systematically strengthen defenses against cyberattacks.

2. Data Integration

• Focused on establishing safety standards for shared data usage—a vital step toward organizational Digital Transformation.
• "Student Database Connection" Lecture: Delivered by Mr. Kritsanaphon Saengprachum, Computer Technical Officer from the Bureau of Academic Administration and Development.
• "Personnel Database Connection" Lecture: Delivered by Mr. Kanin Utchin, Information Technology Officer from the Human Resources Division.

Networking & Cultural Activities

Beyond the academic and technological capacity-building sessions, the network-building participants joined relationship-strengthening activities. They also visited Wat Pho Chai (Royal Monastery) to pay respects to Luang Pho Phra Sai, the sacred and revered Buddha image of Nong Khai Province, for blessings before safely traveling back to Khon Kaen University.

This seminar marks a significant milestone in preparing digital infrastructure, personnel, and information systems. It paves the way for elevating Khon Kaen University into a "Smart University" with the highest standards of security and efficiency in data management for the future.
